Friday 17th July
A Safe and Sustainable Return To Travel
The Fly Green Alliance and BTA presents a discussion on the future of sustainable travel.  We ask you to join us to discuss your thoughts on what the new normal in travel might be. This meeting will have a focus on sustainability within travel. Will this increase or will it be business as usual? Will remote working stay and will train travel increase?  We'll discuss travelling smarter and what this may mean for the future. We'll give you an update on the aviation industry's build back better plans, give some examples of TMCs green initiatives and discuss sustainable aviation fuel, ESG and some market research findings.

BTA and ITM Update
ITM Chief Executive Officer Scott Davies joins Clive Wratten to discuss the COVID-19 business impact and the challenges facing the buyer commuter.  The webinar will give our members and partners an opportunity to hear from the CEOs of both associations as they share their views on the impact of the pandemic and the recovery process.

IHG Update
SVP & Managing Director Europe at IHG Karin Sheppard joins Clive Wratten to discuss the COVID-19 business impact and the challenges facing the hotel sector and what they are doing to meet these. Hear how IHG across all their brands are adapting their properties & services to operate during and after the pandemic. Karin will be sharing how IHG are adapting their properties and services to operate in a Covid-19 world along with re-establishing consumer confidence in travel.

Chair Yoga
If you did over indulge either at the pub or restaurant, or if like me if was just in the comfort of your own home then why not give yourself a great kickstart to the new week by joining us for a session of chair based yoga. Come and take some time to stretch, strengthen and relax the body - you’ll relax the jaw, concentrate on the breath and loosen the middle body. Join us for what we hope will be an enjoyable session which will require no standing up and no need to put on sports gear!

Travelport - Group Vice President Update
The BTA will be hosting a webinar with Travelport Group Vice President, EMEA, Alistair Rodger.  Alistair will join Clive to discuss the COVID-19 business impact and the challenges facing the technology sector and what they are doing to meet these.  Hear how Travelport are adapting their services and products to operate during and after the pandemic.  The webinar will also share insights as to what future travel and booking process could look like.

Ami Naru, Partner and Head of Employment at Travlaw to explain how the furlough scheme has changed and the impact it will have on organisations. She will also offer practical advice on dealing with furloughed workers and answer the many questions that I am sure many of us will have.

Festive Road - Permissible Travel Framework
Festive Road co-founder Caroline Strachan for a run through of their “Permissible Travel Framework”. In short, the Permissible Travel Framework takes the mass of  Covid-19 complexity and turns that into a straight-forward, easy to use exercise, that ultimately provides any company with a plan for returning to travel. Caroline will focus our BTA call on the potential challenges & opportunities for TMCs/Suppliers as Business Travel returns.

Serviced Apartments - Native CEO Guy Nixon
Native CEO Guy Nixon joins Clive Wratten to discuss the COVID-19 business impact and the challenges facing the serviced apartment sector and what they are doing to meet these.  Hear how Native and the rest of the serviced apartment sector are adapting their products to operate during and after the pandemic.  They will discuss the need for a common international standard in accommodation and how serviced apartments can serve the business travel community.

Cyber professionals say that companies involved in the travel industry are more exposed to cyber-attacks.  There are a number of areas that should be considered in travel businesses to make sure that cyber criminals are not successful and will help minimise the risk of travel businesses being in the news for the wrong reasons.  Our guest speaker Mark Belgrove, Head of Cyber Consultancy, Exponential-e will be talking about some current threats and areas that could help protect your business from cyber incidents.  Mark will also offer some personal advice when it comes to cyber security.

Jo Redman will provide you with some tips and ideas for managing your wellbeing (think physical and mental health) in these working from home days.  What works for you, won't work for me when it comes to looking after our wellbeing. We are all different and have varying needs, this session will give you a      range of easy and simple suggestions for looking after yourself and lifting your energy.
