Partner Associations

BTA works with a range of Partner Associations to ensure we are always well informed and at the forefront of all industry and business issues that will assist our members and Industry Partners. 

These vital relationships assist BTA with access to government, industry regulators, policy makers and best practice in the business travel sector.  GTMC participates in several meetings and events across our Partner Associations contributing to content with several and supporting initiatives that benefit our TMC members. The high quality of output data, industry information and white papers form an integral part of our communications on all matters, political, social and economic. On matters of joint interest our representation is strengthened and our voice louder as a collective than an individual association.



The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) is the not for profit trade body representing only Quality Accredited Operator and Agent members, who collectively operate over 100,000 apartments in 16 countries and offer 3 million bed nights per year.


The Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE) is a member organisation that offers networking and professional development opportunities to support the careers of women in travel, tourism and hospitality.


The Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BAR UK) is the industry association representing the majority of airlines operating to the UK.

Border Force

Border Force is a law enforcement command within the Home Office. We secure the UK border by carrying out immigration and customs controls for people and goods entering the UK.


The Business Visits & Events Partnership is an umbrella organisation representing leading trade and professional organisations, government agencies and other significant influencers in the business visits and events sector.


ECTAA is the Group of national travel agents' and tour operators' associations within the EU. It actively cooperates with European Union institutions and international organizations to ensure that their interests and special requirements are taken into consideration.

The Travel Technology Initiative (TTI) was founded in 1989 to establish technology standards within the travel industry. At that time, a number of leading travel companies recognised the benefits of using common system interfaces and documentation and agreed to form an industry wide group to develop technology standards.
