People and Industry Talent Strategy Group
The People and Industry Talent Strategy Group is an extremely active group that engages on all matters relating to employment and human capital management and the future proofing of our industry through talent acquisition and talent development, on all levels. The enthusiasm of this group to promote the career opportunities and professionalism of the business travel industry has led to a series of new initiatives that are the cornerstone of the strategy and objectives for the group. 

Objectives
  • Future proof the industry through working closely with the Next Generation and understanding the diversity, demands and requirements of the workforce of tomorrow
  • Regularly reviewing, monitoring and advising on changes required to the business travel apprenticeships schemes. Helping members understand and invest in opportunities presented  from the apprenticeship levy scheme. 
  • Forging partnerships across academia to promote business travel as a career opportunity and to attain recognition of the sector with inclusion in relevant qualification curriculum's. 
  • Promote the BTA Diploma in Business Travel as a recognised qualification across the business travel industry. 
Typically, participants in this strategy group are Business Owners, CEO's, HR Directors and People Managers drawn from the BTA membership.  This group gives you the opportunity to discuss all HR related issues facing the industry as well as influencing the next generation working in business travel and discussing the hot topics of the day such as Mental Illness, employees and traveller Wellbeing and gender diversity.

Suzanne Horner| Gray Dawes Group    


Suzanne Horner, CEO at travel management specialist Gray Dawes since 2011, has overseen the transformation of the business from 40 employees, 1 office, £30m turnover organisation to one that now boasts 180 employees, 5 offices and £110m+ sales. 

Suzanne has previously worked in a senior capacity at British Airways, Egencia and Norwegian Cruise Line. 

In October 2018 Suzanne was given the Outstanding Achievement Award by Advantage Travel Partnership.
