APPG on Business Travel

The BTA provides the secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Business Travel, raising the profile of the sector within Parliament.

The group was initially formed to highlight the challenges faced by the business travel sector due to the coronavirus pandemic, with travel restrictions hampering companies' plans to return to international business trips. Since then it has developed into a platform to raise the wider issues for the sector, and its support for regional growth, sustainability and international trade.

The group is made up of MPs from across the political spectrum with an interest in business travel and is chaired by Stephen Hammond, MP for Wimbledon and former Transport Minister. We are delighted that our officers for 2022/23 are:

Chair:

Stephen Hammond MP - Conservative MP for Wimbledon

Vice Chair:

Chris Green MP - Conservative MP for Bolton West & Atherton

Officers:

Karen Bradley MP - Conservative MP for Staffordshire Moorlands

Baroness Foster - Conservative Member of the House of Lords

Lord Naseby - Conservative Member of the House of Lords

Gavin Newlands MP - Scottish National Party MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North

Virendra Sharma MP - Labour MP for Ealing, Southall
